Our Aims
Abbey Lodge works within a recovery and strengths model, promoting your recovery and your mental well-being in a safe, secure and comfortable environment, to help you bring stability to your live. Abbey Lodge will provide you with assessment, rehabilitation and preparation for eventual resettlement into appropriate accommodation.
You will be offered motivation and support in the different identified areas. Support plans are drawn up collaboratively with you and any other relevant professionals involved with your care. These plans set clear objectives and targets and are reviewed regularly.The project works in close partnership with all other relevant agencies such as community mental health teams (CMHT’s) and crisis teams to enable us to work safely with you and share knowledge and expertise.

- Assist clients to comply with the terms of their tenancy in areas such as house rules, health and safety, noise disruption, payment of rent and service charge.
- Provide advice, support and supervision with issues as medication compliance and to develop a wide range of practical and emotional living skills.
- Enable clients to access appropriate education, employment and training opportunities.
- Encourage clients to build and maintain friendships and community networks.
- Assist with access to or sustaining links with primary and other care or disability services including GPs, CMHT and drug and alcohol services.
- Assist with claiming relevant welfare benefits.
